Pronunciation: nentə-ʃi:pu:Pronunciation
Translation: Nain River
Official Name: Anaktalik Brook
Feature: river

Explanation:
Named in reference to the nearby Nain settlement. Nain is originally a Hebrew name which was borrowed into the Inuktitut language and presumably from there into the Innu language. The name Nain-shipu applies only to the downstream section below the lake called Nain-natuashu (no 281). Above that lake, the river bears a different name.
